do they fall from your mouth to your toes
weighing down your feet
is this why you are no longer able to move
like you’re wearing concrete for shoes
do they fall hard against your heart
causing it to skip a beat…or two
eventually seeing to it that it doesn’t beat at all
where do all the heavy words go
when you can no longer find them when you need them
to tell her how much she means to you
with dazzling and brilliant words that used to flow so freely
do they just disappear or vanish into thin air
leaving you speechless and in despair
maybe they made their way out caught in your tears
their weight causing them to fall effortlessly down your cheeks
and into the ocean below
